Cheveyo is the patriarch of our herd. At 27 years old he knows his job and does it well. Cheveyo means “spirit warrior,” and when watching how Cheveyo interacts with the most vulnerable of students it is clear that he lives up to his name. Cheveyo was once a great Paso Fino show horse and spent most of his life in a barn where he was used for breeding. Cheveyo came to West Coast Ecuestre as a donation from a school, where he was living as a pet. Cheveyo was not ready for retirement and has been enjoying his role as a therapy horse for the past 7 years. He is still very spirited and has a cheeky side and loves to put some of our more advanced students to the test.
